Darrin Hall ran 3 yards for a touchdown and Therran Coleman got an interception in the end zone in overtime Saturday to give Pittsburgh a 44-37 win over Syracuse in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Hall's 7-yard touchdown run pulled Pitt into a 34-34 tie with 7:51 left in the fourth, and Syracuse's Andre Szmyt and the Panthers' Alex Kessman traded field goals to send it to overtime.
Qadree Ollison ran for 192 yards and a touchdown, and Kenny Pickett was 11-for-20 passing for 137 yards with a touchdown and an interception for Pitt (3-3, 2-1 ACC).
Eric Dungey was 18-for-38 passing for 195 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions, including the one in overtime, and added a rushing touchdown for Syracuse (4-2, 1-2), which has lost eight straight at Heinz Field dating to 2001. Jarveon Howard added two scoring runs.
Syracuse took a 14-0 lead on Dungey's 1-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Hackett and Howard's 2-yard scoring run after a Pitt turnover.
Ollison cut over left tackle and ran 69 yards for a touchdown to cut the lead to 14-7. Quintin Wirginis then stripped the ball from Dungey, and Dane Jackson scooped up the loose ball and ran 35 yards to the end zone to pull Pitt into a 14-14 tie.
Kessman hit a 54-yard field goal and then set a Heinz Field record, college or pro, with a 55-yarder in the second quarter for a 20-14 Panthers lead.
Szmyt's 33-yard field goal 1:30 before halftime cut it to 20-17 for the Orange.
Rafael Araujo-Lopes took a short out pass from Pickett and ran 68 yards down the right sideline for a touchdown and a 27-17 Pitt lead 48 seconds into the second half.
Following a weather delay of 66 minutes, Howard's second touchdown, on a 5-yard run, brought the Orange to within 27-24.
Dungey dove at the right pylon for a 21-yard scoring run to restore Syracuse's lead, 31-27, with 21 seconds left in the third quarter.
After another Panthers turnover, Szmyt hit a 29-yard field goal for a 34-27 lead.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL TOP 25 SCOREBOARD

TEXAS 48, NO 7 OKLAHOMA 45
DALLAS -- Freshman Cameron Dicker kicked a 40-yard field goal with nine seconds left to give 19th-ranked Texas a 48-45 victory over No. 7 Oklahoma on Saturday.
Texas won after Kyler Murray rallied Oklahoma with three touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
Sam Ehlinger ran for three touchdowns and threw for 314 yards with two scores for Texas (5-1, 3-0 Big 12), which has its first five-game winning streak since 2013. He converted third-and-3 on Texas' final drive with a 4-yard keeper and his 8-yard draw to the middle of the field set up the winning kick.
The Longhorns took a 45-24 lead into the fourth quarter before Murray threw a 19-yard TD pass to Lee Morris and ran 67 yards for a score on a one-play drive. Trey Sermon's 7-yard run for the tying touchdown with 2:38 left gave the Sooners three TDs in a span of six minutes.
Oklahoma (5-1, 2-1) lost to the Longhorns for the third time in six seasons. This was the first time in that span Texas was ranked for the Red River Rivalry, which had never had more combined points in a 113-game series that dates back to 1900.
Murray completed 19 of 26 passes for 304 yards and four touchdowns, and ran for 92 yards. But he also had two turnovers, only his third interception of the season and a big fumble in the third quarter when he lost control of the ball when scrambling.
Five plays after Murray's fumble, not long after his 77-yard TD pass to Marquise Brown, the Longhorns led 38-24 when Ehlinger burst into the end zone on a 2-yard run. Brown had nine catches for 131 yards and two TDs. His long TD was his national-best seventh catch of at least 40 yards this season.
Lil'Jordan Humphrey had nine catches for 133 yards and a touchdown, and his 2-yard TD pass to Collin Johnson capped the first Texas possession of the game.
MISSISSIPPI STATE 23, NO. 8 AUBURN 9
STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Nick Fitzgerald ran for 195 yards and two touchdowns and Mississippi State's defense had another dominant performance in an upset victory over Auburn.
Mississippi State (4-2, 1-2 Southeastern Conference) came into the game among the nation's top 10 in scoring defense, and the Bulldogs were brilliant on that side of the ball once again. The Tigers hit on a couple big plays, but once they neared the end zone the Bulldogs clamped down.
Auburn (4-2, 1-2) settled for three field goals, which wasn't nearly enough.
Mississippi State's offense was a two-man show between Fitzgerald and Kylin Hill. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Fitzgerald became the SEC's career leader for rushing yards for a quarterback with a 39-yard run in the fourth quarter. He passed former Florida star Tim Tebow for the top spot.
Hill finished with 126 yards on 23 carries, including several crucial runs in the second half. The Bulldogs finished with 349 yards rushing.
NO. 17 MIAMI 28, FLORIDA STATE 27
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- N'Kosi Perry threw four touchdown passes, and Miami pulled off its biggest comeback ever against Florida State by rallying from 20 points down.
Brevin Jordan's 41-yard touchdown grab with just under 12 minutes left put the Hurricanes (5-1, 2-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) ahead for good, as Miami rallied from a 27-7 second-half deficit.
The win was Miami's first at home over Florida State (3-3, 1-3) since 2004, snapping a six-game slide in South Florida against its archrival.
Perry's numbers weren't great -- 13 for 32, 204 yards -- but he made some big throws when they mattered most. The go-ahead score to Jordan came one play after Perry threaded a 32-yard throw to Jeff Thomas on third-and-10, meaning in the span of about a half-minute the Hurricanes went 73 yards for the lead.
Deondre Francois completed 15 of 30 passes for 129 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for the Seminoles, who were held to 200 yards of offense. He's been in three games at Hard Rock Stadium, winning two, and all three decided by exactly one point.
D.J. Matthews tiptoed down the left sideline early in the third quarter for a 74-yard punt return touchdown, putting Florida State up 27-7.
NO. 1 ALABAMA 65, ARKANSAS 31
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Tua Tagovailoa passed for 334 yards and four touchdowns and Alabama ran its winning streak against Arkansas to 12.
It took just one play for Alabama (6-0, 3-0 Southeastern Conference) to set the tone as Tagovailoa hit tight end Irv Smith Jr. on a pass across the middle that Smith took 76 yards to the end zone and a 7-0 lead just 21 seconds into the game.
On the Crimson Tide's second possession, Tagovailoa hit Smith again, and the 6-foot-4 junior ripped off another big gain before he was stripped from behind by Ryan Pulley. Alabama receiver Henry Ruggs III picked up the fumble in stride and carried it the remaining 12 yards for a touchdown and a 14-0 lead with 10:01 left in the first quarter. The margin grew to 21-0 before Arkansas (1-5, 0-3) got on the scoreboard.
Alabama had a defensive touchdown in the fourth quarter when Shyheim Carter intercepted a Storey pass and returned it 44 yards for a touchdown. Alabama has returned four interceptions for TDs this season.
NO. 2 GEORGIA 41, VANDERBILT 13
ATHENS, Ga. -- Jake Fromm threw three touchdown passes, including a 75-yarder to Terry Godwin, and No. 2 Georgia beat Vanderbilt.
Georgia (6-0, 4-0 Southeastern Conference) trailed for the first time this season following the first of two first-half field goals by Vanderbilt's Ryle Guay less than five minutes into the game.
Fromm threw for a season-high 276 yards while sitting out the final quarter. After Vanderbilt took the 3-0 lead, Fromm needed only 15 seconds to respond with the long scoring pass to Godwin, who fought off cornerback Joejuan Williams' tackle attempt.
The Bulldogs gained momentum for next week's visit to No. 5 Louisiana State. Georgia then plays Florida, Kentucky and Auburn. The four-game stretch will determine the Bulldogs' hopes of defending their SEC championship and making another run at the national title.
Vanderbilt (3-3, 0-2) trailed only 7-3 after the first period. Kept out of the end zone until the final seconds, the Commodores couldn't spoil Georgia's homecoming as they did with a 17-16 win in 2016.
NO. 3 OHIO STATE 49, INDIANA 26
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Dwayne Haskins Jr. passed for a career-best 455 yards and school record-tying six touchdowns and Ohio State pulled away in the fourth quarter.
A week after a gritty victory at Penn State, the Buckeyes (6-0, 3-0 Big Ten) were forced to work hard by quarterback Peyton Ramsey and an Indiana offense that took advantage of plenty of early defensive mistakes. The Buckeyes didn't get a handle on this one until Haskins hooked up with Terry McLaurin for a 17-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth, and then added a 30-yard scoring pass to Binjimen Victor with seven minutes left.
Haskins completed 33 of 44 passes and connected for two touchdowns each with Parris Campbell and McLaurin, and one each to Johnnie Dixon and Victor.
Ohio State came from behind twice in the first half to take a 28-20 lead at the half and then kept the Hoosiers (4-2, 1-2) at bay in the second half despite the gritty play of Ramsey, who threw for a career-high 322 yards and three touchdowns.
Ohio State's J.K. Dobbins and Mike Weber combined for 152 yards on the ground. Campbell caught nine passes for 142 yards.
NO. 4 CLEMSON 63, WAKE FOREST 3
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Travis Etienne rushed for 167 yards and three touchdowns, and Clemson ran for 471 yards.
Three Tigers had at least 100 yards rushing, the first time they've done that since 2006.
In addition to Etienne -- who scored on runs of 59, 3 and 70 yards -- Lyn-J Dixon rushed for 163 yards and Adam Choice had 128. Dixon had touchdown runs of 65 and 52 yards, and Choice had a 64-yard TD run.
Trevor Lawrence was 20 of 25 for 175 yards with a 55-yard touchdown pass to Justyn Ross and a 20-yarder to Tee Higgins in about 2 1/2 quarters before leaving with the score out of hand. This was the freshman's second start, and first on the road. They helped the Tigers (6-0, 3-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) open with six victories for the fourth straight year. In each of the previous three seasons they did it, they won the ACC and reached the College Football Playoff.
Sam Hartman was 7 for 20 for 74 yards with an interception, and Nick Sciba kicked a 25-yard field goal for Wake Forest (3-3, 0-2).
NO. 22 FLORIDA 27, NO. 5 LSU 19
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Lamical Perine scored twice on short runs, including one after a trick play in the fourth quarter, and Florida beat LSU.
Brad Stewart's 25-yard interception return for a touchdown -- the first pick Joe Burrow has thrown this season -- essentially sealed the victory for the Gators (5-1, 3-1 Southeastern Conference).
Florida scored all its points after 2007 Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow became the sixth player to be inducted into the school's ring of honor. With Tebow watching much of the game from the sideline, Florida looked a little like a championship contender.
A week after Florida beat Mississippi State with a double pass; Feleipe Franks handed off to seldom-used tight end Lucas Krull, slipped around the right end mostly unnoticed and caught a 15-yard pass from Krull that set up Perine's second score.
It immediately followed LSU's go-ahead drive that featured two long runs from Nick Brossettte. Brossette ran for 79 yards on the drive, including a 2-yard plunge that put the Tigers (5-1, 2-1) up 19-14 with 8:48 to play.
NO. 6 NOTRE DAME 45, NO. 24 VIRGINIA TECH 23
BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Dexter Williams ran for three touchdowns, including a 97-yarder, and Notre Dame beat Virginia Tech.
The Irish (6-0) had minus-5 rushing yards and were facing second-and-12 from their own 3 when Williams took a handoff into the left side of the line and broke into the clear early in the third quarter, putting Notre Dame ahead 24-16. Williams had just been thrown for a 2-yard loss, prompting the sellout crowd at Lane Stadium to grow louder, begging for the kind of big play the program's defense has made so often. Instead, it was Williams who made it. He added TD runs of 1 and 31 yards.
The Irish's defense was stout, too. Khalid Kareem stripped quarterback Ryan Willis on a scramble and Julian Love was in perfect position to scoop up the bouncing fumble and take it 42 yards for a touchdown, giving Notre Dame a 17-9 lead late in the second quarter.
Before breaking the game open, Notre Dame also sacked Willis for 11 yards after Virginia Tech (3-2) drove to the 19, and stopped the Hokies on three tries from the 1. Both of those drives ended with the hosts settling for field goals by Brian Johnson.
NO. 9 WEST VIRGINIA 38, KANSAS 22
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Will Grier threw four touchdown passes, and committed four turnovers, and West Virginia beat Kansas.
West Virginia (5-0, 3-0 Big 12) has won its first five games for the second time in three seasons. The Mountaineers had no trouble moving the ball but Grier's efforts to throw into tight coverage near the goal line cost his team plenty of points. The Heisman Trophy hopeful was intercepted three times in the first half either in the end zone or at the goal line, two of them by cornerback Hasan Defense. All three of Grier's interceptions occurred when West Virginia had driven inside the Kansas 15-yard line.
Kansas (2-4, 0-3) entered the game leading the Big 12 with eight interceptions, including three returned for touchdowns. Grier also had a third-quarter fumble on a scramble. West Virginia had committed six total turnovers in its previous four games.
NO. 10 WASHINGTON 31, UCLA 24
PASADENA, Calif. -- Myles Gaskin rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns, Browning passed for 265 yards and Washington beat UCLA.
The Huskies led 24-7 at halftime but saw the Bruins climb back within a touchdown twice in the fourth quarter. Washington took a 31-17 lead with a 12-play, 81-yard drive that took 6:45 off the clock and ended with Gaskin's 1-yard TD on a direct snap with 3:42 remaining.
Joshua Kelley scored on a 2-yard run with 1:38 left, and the Bruins attempted an onside kick, but Washington recovered and ran out the clock.
Browning completed 18 of 26 passes with one TD and one interception. The senior also ran for a score as Washington (5-1, 3-0 Pac-12) won in its first trip to the Rose Bowl in five years.
The Bruins, who are in their first year under coach Chip Kelly, fell to 0-5 for the first time since 1943. They are 0-2 in the Pac-12.
NO. 12 UCF 48, SMU 20
ORLANDO, Fla. -- McKenzie Milton threw for 278 yards and two touchdowns to help UCF extend the nation's longest winning streak to 18 games.
Adrian Killins rushed for 113 yards and a TD for the Knights (5-0, 2-0), one of three unbeaten teams remaining in the American Athletic Conference, along with Cincinnati and South Florida.
Milton completed 18 of 34 passes with one interception after accounting for 12 touchdowns -- seven passing and five rushing -- in nonconference victories over Florida Atlantic and Pittsburgh the previous two weeks. The junior from Kapolei, Hawaii, tossed TD passes of 14 yards to Dredrick Snelson in the first quarter and 30 yards to Tre Nixon on the first play of the fourth quarter.
The Knights also got two TD runs from Otis Anderson and one from Trysten Hill, a 315-pound defensive tackle who lined up as a fullback before plowing into the end zone on fourth-and-1 and drawing an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for spiking the ball. Ben Hicks came off the bench to replace freshman quarterback William Brown for SMU (2-4, 1-1).
TEXAS A&M 20, NO. 13 KENTUCKY 14, OT
COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Trayveon Williams flipped into the end zone on a 10-yard run in overtime to give Texas A&M the victory over Kentucky.
The Wildcats' Miles Butler missed a 43-yard field goal to start overtime, with the ball bouncing back off the crossbar, and the Aggies capitalized with Williams' touchdown run four plays later.
The Aggies (4-2, 2-1 Southeastern Conference) appeared to be in control and were trying to drain the clock when Mond fumbled, and safety Darius West scooped up the ball and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown to it at 14 with 4:17 remaining.
Texas A&M took a 14-7 lead early in the fourth quarter when Kellen Mond tried throwing underneath to Camron Buckley. The ball glanced off of Buckley's hands and right into those of tight end Jace Sternberger, who scooted 46 yards up the middle for a go-ahead touchdown.
The Aggies snapped a six-game losing streak to Associated Press Top 25 opponents, including losses this season to top-ranked Alabama and then-No. 2 Clemson.
The Wildcats (5-1, 3-1) were trying to improve to 6-0 for the first time since 1950.
UTAH 40, NO. 14 STANFORD 21
STANFORD, Calif. -- Jaylon Johnson returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown and Zack Moss ran for two scores to lead Utah over Stanford.
Moss ran for 160 yards and the Utes (3-2, 1-2 Pac-12) intercepted K.J. Costello on back-to-back first-half drives in the red zone to snap an 11-game home winning streak for the Cardinal (4-2, 2-1).
Utah ended a six-game skid against Top 25 teams with its first win over a ranked program in three years.
Johnson raced down the sideline for the third 100-yard interception return in school history and first since Harold Lusk did it in 1994 against Colorado State.
NO. 15 MICHIGAN 42, MARYLAND 21
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Shea Patterson threw for a season-high 282 yards and three touchdowns for Michigan
The Wolverines (5-1, 3-0 Big Ten) fell behind late in the first quarter and didn't take the lead again until midway through the second. They scored 24 straight points to take control and added another TD and two-point conversion with 6:37 remaining to seal their fifth straight victory.
The Terrapins (3-2, 1-1) went ahead on Ty Johnson's 98-yard kickoff return with 1:10 left in the first half, but they didn't score again until early in the fourth quarter. Patterson completed 19 of 27 passes and had one interception, a pass that went off tight end Zach Gentry's hands.
NO. 16 WISCONSIN 41, NEBRASKA 24
MADISON, Wis. -- Jonathan Taylor ran for 221 yards and three scores, including a career-best 88-yarder in the fourth quarter, and Wisconsin beat winless Nebraska.
The Badgers (4-1, 2-0 Big Ten) withstood the Cornhuskers' desperate second-half comeback attempt from a 17-point halftime deficit led by two touchdown passes in the third quarter by Adrian Martinez.
Nebraska's offense flashed big-play promise behind their freshman quarterback, who threw for 384 yards and rushed for a score. JD Spielman had nine catches for 209 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown catch.
