CINCINNATI AT PITTSBURGH

REDS AND PIRATES
WHEN: 1:35 PM ET, Saturday, April 6, 2019
WHERE: PNC Park, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Cincinnati Reds have been shut out three straight times as they look to halt a six-game losing streak when they visit the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday afternoon. The offensive issues continued when Pittsburgh posted a 2-0 win on Friday, marking the fourth time Cincinnati has been blanked during its skid.

The Pirates have recorded three straight shutout victories over the Reds as they enter the second contest of their three-game series. Cincinnati has recorded just 13 hits during the stretch and was limited to three in Friday's contest - two doubles and one single. Jung Ho Kang laced a run-scoring double in the seventh inning to snap a scoreless tie and Adam Frazier added an RBI double in the eighth. The Reds have gone 28 consecutive frames without scoring a run and offseason acquisitions Matt Kemp (1-for-16) and Yasiel Puig (3-for-24) are among the players off to anemic starts.
