10 YOUNGEST SUPERSTARS IN WWE RIGHT NOW

In the world of professional wrestling or "sports entertainment", there are more than a selected few of wrestlers that began their WWE career when they were just teenagers. WWE veterans like Daniel Bryan began wrestling as young as the age of 16. Brock Lesnar broke the record in 2002 when he became the youngest person to hold the WWE Championship at just 25 years old. Even though many youngsters are still competing in the WWE Performance Centre and WWE NXT, they are yet to make an impact on the main roster.
There is no specific age required to start out as a pro wrestler. Most superstars began their careers at 16 or 18 years old. Former Divas Champion and current Smackdown Live GM Paige had her first wrestling match when she was just thirteen. As more wrestlers make it to WWE, they look to make their mark in the biggest pro wrestling company in the world.
The following is a list of the youngest male and female wrestlers in WWE (as of 30 December 2018) and it only consists of Superstars on the main roster—mainly Raw, Smackdown Live and 205 Live. Wrestlers who share the same age are ranked according to the order of their birth.
#10. SASHA BANKS - 26 YEARS OLD
Former Raw Women's Champion Sasha Banks is one of the most talented but underrated superstars in the WWE right now. She signed with the WWE in 2012 and was sent to NXT where she captured the NXT Women's Championship. Banks quickly established herself as one of the most popular performers and was heavily cheered by fans even when she played a heel.
Banks has gone on to make history in the WWE on several occasions. Her match against Bayley at TakeOver: Respect in 2015 was the first women's match to ever headline a TakeOver event, and she was also involved in the first-ever women's Iron Man match in WWE history.
At Hell in a Cell in 2016, she and Charlotte Flair became the first women to main event a WWE PPV and they were first female superstars to compete in a Hell in a Cell match. She is a four-time Raw Women's Champion.
#9. PAIGE - 26 YEARS OLD
Paige started her wrestling at a very young age. She had her first ever wrestling match when she was just 13, in a promotion called 'World Association of Wrestling,' a promotion run by her family. She competed under the ring name Britani Knight. She signed with WWE in 2011 and performed in NXT, where she became the inaugural NXT Women's Champion.
She made her main roster debut on Raw the night after WrestleMania 30 in 2014 where she won her first Diva's Championship from AJ Lee in her first match on the main roster. Paige has won the retired WWE Divas Championship twice. Unfortunately, on the Raw after WrestleMania 34, Paige officially retired from in-ring competition due to injury at a very young age.
She served as the on-screen general manager of Smackdown Live but since the McMahon took back control, only the future knows what's in store for her. Paige is currently not cleared to compete but sooner or later she might recover and do what she does best if WWE allows her.
#8. PEYTON ROYCE - 26 YEARS OLD
Current Smackdown Live and one half of The IIconics Peyton Royce signed with WWE in 2015 as part of a new class of NXT trainees. She made her televised in-ring debut on the 15 May episode of NXT under the ring name KC Cassidy but suffered a defeat to the Sasha Banks who was NXT Women's Champion at the time.
In October 2016, Royce formed an alliance with Billie Kay and they were officially known as The Iconic Duo. Throughout the year, Royce continued to rack up victories over other talents like Aliyah, Sarah Logan and Ruby Riot. Royce competed in a fatal–four-way match for the vacant NXT Women's Championship at NXT TakeOver: WarGames, but the match was won by Ember Moon.
The IIconics debuted on SmackDown Live on April 2018 attacking then SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair. They successfully defeated the team of Asuka and Naomi at WWE Super Show-Down in Australia, their country of birth.
#7. AKAM - 25 YEARS OLD
Former Raw and NXT tag team champion Akam currently performs on WWE Raw with his tag team partner Rezar as the Authors of Pain or AOP, with their manager Drake Maverick. Akam signed a contract with WWE in October 2015 and he began training in the WWE Performance Centre to become a professional wrestler.
He formed a tag team with Rezar on February 2016 and together as The Authors of Pain they made their televised debuts at NXT TakeOver: The End by Attacking American Alpha before leaving backstage with their then manager Paul Ellering.
Born in Canada, he was the Canadian national freestyle wrestling champion from 2011 to 2013 in the heavyweight category. He won a gold medal in the 115 kg category at the Canada Summer Games in 2009 and a silver medal at the Pan American Games in 2011. He competed in the qualification tournament for the 2012 Summer Olympics but he missed out on the qualification after losing to Dremiel Byers.
As The Authors of Pain, they have won the NXT tag team championships, Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and the Raw tag team championships. AOP is one of the most dominant tag teams on Raw right now.
#6. SONYA DEVILLE - 25 YEARS OLD
Sonya Deville is a former mix martial artist and contestant in WWE Tough Enough in the 2015 season, where she came in eleventh. In October 2015, she signed a contract with WWE and was assigned to the WWE Performance Center to become a professional wrestler. She then joined NXT in 2015, but she has an unsuccessful run.
Her most notable appearance came when she competed in a six-woman tag team match along with Mandy Rose and Alexa Bliss in which they were defeated by Carmella, Liv Morgan, and Nikki Cross. Deville made her main roster debut on Raw in 2017 alongside former Divas Champion Paige and Mandy Rose as they attacked Sasha Banks, Bayley, Mickie James and Alexa Bliss.
The stable went under the name Absolution. During the 2018 WWE Superstar Shake-up, Deville and Mandy were drafted to SmackDown Live where they are currently competing. She also competed in a battle royal at the first-ever all-women PPV WWE Evolution.
#5. SARAH LOGAN - 25 YEARS OLD
Sarah Logan was one of the first four participants competing in the first-ever Mae Young Classic tournament in 2017. She was eliminated in the first round by another competitor Mia Yim. Despite being eliminated from the tournament, she later teamed up with other eliminated competitors in a six-woman tag team match but they were unsuccessful.
Logan made her main roster debut on WWE Smackdown Live in November 2017 along with former NXT Superstars Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott as part of The Riott Squad. They attacked both Becky Lynch and Naomi. On the same night, they interrupted a match between Charlotte Flair (who was the SmackDown Women's Champion at the time) and Natalya and attacked both of them.
Logan competed alongside her Riott Squad team-mates against Natalya, Sasha Banks, and Bayley at the first-ever all-women PPV WWE Evolution but they were unsuccessful. One has to only wonder what the future holds for Sarah Logan. Maybe a push as a singles competitor will be in store for her down the line.
#4. NOAM DAR - 25 YEARS OLD
Noam Dar joined WWE in 2016 as part of the Cruiserweight Classics tournament, securing his place by defeating a wrestler called Josh Bodom in a qualifier match held in London. In the tournament itself, Dar would then go on to defeat Gurv Sihra and Ho Ho Lun in the first two rounds before being eliminated in the quarterfinals by Zack Sabre Jr.
During the finale of the Cruiserweight Classic, he teamed up with former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander in a losing effort against current NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano who were known as #DIY.
In 2018's WWE's United Kingdom Championship Tournament, Noam Dar returned to action in a fatal-four way match by defeating Flash Webster, Mark Andrews and Travis Banks to become the number one contender for the United Kingdom Championship. Dar challenged Cruiserweight champion Buddy Murphy to a match on 205 Live on the December edition of 2015 Live.
#3. REZAR - 24 YEARS OLD
Former WWE Raw and NXT tag team champion Rezar currently performs on the Raw brand with his tag team partner Akam as the Authors of Pain, with their manager Drake Maverick. He signed a contract with WWE in May 2015 and immediately began training in the WWE Performance Centre to become a professional wrestler.
He formed a tag team with Akam on February 2016 and together as The Authors of Pain they made their televised debuts at NXT TakeOver: The End by Attacking American Alpha before leaving backstage with Paul Ellering.
Rezar is a former mix martial artist. He competed in MMA promotions like BAMMA and Bellator MMA before joining WWE. He is also a former kickboxer, winning the Pro World Heavyweight Championship in 2013 after an 8-man tournament in one night. PWI ranked him #211 of the top 500 singles wrestlers in the PWI 500 in 2018.
#2. LIV MORGAN - 24 YEARS OLD
Current Raw Superstar Liv Morgan makes the list as the youngest female WWE Superstar currently competing on the main roster. After making a name for herself on NXT, Liv made her main roster debut on the November 21st episode of SmackDown Live as a heel alongside Sarah Logan and Ruby Riott. The trio formed a team known as The Riott Squad. They attacked then SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte, Natalya, Becky Lynch and Naomi.
Liv Morgan was drafted to Raw following the Superstar Shake-up along with the other two members of The Riott Squad, where they are currently making a name for themselves on WWE’s flagship show. They feuded with other superstars like Bayley & Sasha Banks and Natalya.
Morgan certainly has a lot of in-ring talent and even though she did not accomplish much in her days in NXT, there’s no doubt that she might receive a shot at the Raw Women’s Championship later on in the future. It’s only left to see what the company has in store for her and if she will receive a singles push later on in her career.
#1. LIO RUSH - 24 YEARS OLD
"The Man of the Hour" made his first televised WWE debut on an episode of NXT back in 2017 where he was attacked by The Velveteen Dream, his former tag team partner. Rush then went on to make a joke on Twitter about former WWE Superstar Emma following her release from the company, which resulted in heavy criticism from both the NXT and main roster talents, which led Lio Rush to issue an apology.
The tweet resulted in him being pulled from all NXT events until November 30, 2017. Rush moved to the cruiserweight division and after weeks of vignettes, he made his in-ring and televised debut as a heel on an episode of 205 Live in June 2018.
Lio Rush currently serves as the manager of former ECW Champion Bobby Lashley on Raw. He has also had a few matches on the A-show and even defeated Elias. He is currently the youngest WWE Superstar on the main roster.
