LIST OF WWE
SUPERSTARS WHOSE CONTRACTS EXPIRE THIS YEAR; WILL THEY GO TO AEW?
WHAT'S THE STORY?
There are several reports that Superstars currently working
for WWE are
keeping their eyes on Cody and the Young Buck's new promotion, All Elite
Wrestling. However, which currently contracted WWE talent could
actually jump ship to the new upstart wrestling promotion this year?
IN CASE YOU DIDN'T
KNOW...
All Elite Wrestling have already secured the services of
several top former WWE wrestlers, if you include Cody. During their 'Double of
Nothing' rally they announced they had signed former Cruiserweight Champion Pac
(formerly known as Neville in WWE) and the first ever Undisputed WWE Champion
Chris Jericho.
With an entire roster to fill out it is likely that AEW will
have several more signing announcements to make, which makes it highly likely
that they'll bring more talent associated with WWE on board.
THE HEART OF THE
MATTER
With that being said though, there's a chance that AEW, or
another wrestling promotion, could secure the services of someone that is
literally still working for WWE as you read this. That's because the contracts
of several WWE Superstars expire this year, according to Fightful.
MAURO RANALLO: June 2019
PAIGE: 2019
JIM ROSS: March 2019
THE GOOD BROTHERS- September
2019
SHINSUKE NAKAMURA- 2019
AJ STYLES- April 2019
WHAT'S NEXT?
Jim Ross has already been heavily linked to AEW, but like
Kenny Omega, is still in contract with someone so is likely keeping his involvement
under-wraps. What will interest many, however, is the possibility of AJ Styles,
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson leaving WWE together which be a huge get for
anyone.
Shinsuke Nakamura is the other notable name there (as I
doubt Paige or Ranallo will leave, unless Paige will be allowed to wrestle
elsewhere) although current speculation suggests he'll be going back to New
Japan Pro Wrestling.
